Community Associations Institute

Through the TSB, TUT partners with the South African chapter of Community Associations Institute in the US (CAI) to provide a professional management development programme (PMDP) to Community Asset Managers (estate managers) in South Africa and Africa.

Tshwane School for Business & Society

TUT partners with the Tshwane School for Business & Society (TSB) as a preferred provider for the university’s internal facing academic leadership development programmes. The TSB provides academic leadership development to other higher education institutions as well.

International Certificate in Impact Entrepreneurship

The International Certificate in Impact Entrepreneurship (ICIE) programme is an international programme run by TSB in partnership with the E4Impact Foundation and the Catholic University of Milan. Testimonials

This is what our past and present participants had to say

Hlengiwe Mbele

Lift Technician

Attending the Lift Regulation short course was highly beneficial for me, as I was exposed to a wealth of information that I had not encountered before. I would strongly recommend this program to lift technicians to enhance their understanding of the tasks they perform daily in their work environments. Additionally, I would encourage women in the lift technician industry to participate, given the current shortage of women in this field.

Tebogo Toolo

Medical Practitioner

Attending the Medical Equipment Maintenance programme was a nice journey, seeing the electrical safety analyser was the first time I was never exposed to the performance test and that is one thing that made me realise that this is one of the best short course. I enjoyed especially the practical part of the course seeing the incubator performance test and getting to see the electrical safety analyser how to it was calibrated, it was an eye open. This programme made me look forward to taking up more short courses. I have learned a lot and appreciate the facilitator’s support throughout the duration of the programme.

Regis Rwanga

Lift Project Manager

I specialize in new lift installations, and the Lift Regulations short learning programme was incredibly informative, particularly in my area of expertise. It exposed me to all the relevant regulations, acts, and standards governing the industry. The knowledge I gained will greatly assist me in my daily tasks, especially when conducting pre-inspections before the Lift Inspector's visit to the site. I am now looking forward to registering with ECSA and becoming a registered Lift Inspector. This has been an exceptional learning experience, and I highly recommend this programme to my colleagues to empower themselves and ensure that all lifts and escalators are safe for the public.

Brand-Lee West

Medical Practitioner

I would like to appreciate the facilitator Mr Tim Okhai for the support and guidance you have provided made this journey worthwhile. I attended the Medical Equipment Maintenance programme and the way the content was presented from the video clips of electrical analyser or the simulator, I have learned and understood a lot in a short space of time. I feel empower after taking up this programme. This was my first time doing an online course and it was an amazing experience. It was an honour and pleasure to be training by the best.

The Medical Equipment Maintenance programme was truly outstanding. I gained valuable knowledge, particularly in patient monitoring, maintenance procedures, and effective cost management and stock control in the warehouse. It was an incredible learning experience, and I feel much more confident in my skills now. I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in clinical engineering — it’s a fantastic opportunity to expand your expertise.
